![Hey IG fam! It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything on my page and I’m excited to be back & share intentional value in the social media 🌎! I officially closed the physical doors to my business on 9/30/24 and moved outside of Sacramento, not very far & things have just been evolving as they were meant to.

I changed my biz name to Intentional Vida [Life] and I’m here to offer you virtual skin consultations, at-home facial services to any guest who has received an in-person service with me, future online shop with all things holistic face and body care is the goal for now & I’m very excited to announce I started a blog - something I’ve been wanting to do for like a decade. I don’t wear makeup often but when I do, I love to wear products that feel very light on the skin & ones I know won’t break me out. ✨ I have acne-prone skin & it’s reactive to most popular brands out there - whether it be drug store or from Sephora. Brands that I love & highly recommend are @iliabeauty @kosas @saiebeauty @ereperezcosmetics @rmsbeauty 💄 If you’re investing in quality plant-based skincare, I highly encourage you to make changes little by little to your makeup products as well. 🔅My new hours are Sat. & Sun. from 10-2.
🔅April is booked for facials, but there are a few spots for a lil’ sugaring hair removal service. Email me to get on a waitlist. Send me preferred data/times [with my new hours in mind] & I’ll reach out to if something opens up.
🔅I have updated my services a bit & changed my prices. Looking forward to investing in some fun tools, product & thangs into the treatment room this year!
🔅I am currently not accepting new guests due to my limited schedule. If you’re wanting to book a virtual service with me for a skin consult or a live gua sha tutorial, please reach out to me via email. As much as I would love to welcome new guests, I can’t rn but I’d so love to help guide you on your skin healing journey & connect!

![Dahlia Skin Studio is now Intentional Skin Studio. Why the name change? It came upon me a week or so ago & at that moment I literally said this is it. I checked to see if there was a website or IG name with the name & NADA! I said it's meant to be and hopped on making the changes right away.

I haven't felt connected to the name Dahlia in a long time and knew at some point I'd change it; I also didn't like my brand colors at all.
+
The word intentional has been shining bright as of late. The words 'intentional action' on the whiteboard in my room that have been there for so long but they've been staring right at me now every time I walk out of my room, my soul sister walking into my new office space and telling me how all the decor was so intentional, realizing how although I am very intentional with my guests in the treatment room -something I strive to be for each service no matter what I may be going through personally - I didn't have much motivation/energy outside of the spa to focus on scaling my business in a way that'd get me closer to my goals and dreams. Reaching my goals and dreams will in turn provide so much more to my guests & my community. I want to be more intentional when it comes to time spent with my friends & family, my health, my business & the things I share whether it be about skin or not. Being a mama of 5 now, I am truly making it a priority of mine to think before I speak as I can be very reactive & like I said prioritize my well-being - mind, body & soul. I can't pour from an empty cup; I've been running on fumes for way too long. I want to become a better version of myself, I want to believe in myself because I truly haven't for as long as I can remember & it's held me back in business & on a personal level. Doing so will make me a more vibrant, nurturing, calm, less reactive, confident, grounded woman to my family & guests.

![As I was reading ‘Healing Through Words’ by @rupikaur_ there was a paragraph that struck me & I just had to share with y’all. 🤎 It made me think of all the moving conversations I’ve had with my inspiring guests in the treatment room. I see you, I hear you, I love you, I miss you.

Healing is to wake up every morning & dedicate yourself to yourself. It is a practice that has no end or finish line. It is never complete. It will remain a work in progress as long as you walk this Earth. Healing is reaching out to ask for help however many times you need it. Having the courage to take care of yourself. Healing is never linear. Healing is breakdowns. Being compassionate. Knowing that even at your best, there will be downward spirals. Healing is bringing all of yourself to the table and saying I probably have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m still going to try. Healing is beginning where you are. It is falling off the practice and getting back up knowing nothing was lost. No one gets through life without scars. Everyone is doing their best with what they have. To be human is to be imperfect. So go easy. Be kind to yourself and each other.

I wanted to share that I stepped out of my comfort zone like a mo fo last week & did my first ever Gua Sha Group Zoom Class. I was so honored to share this incredible ritual with such beautiful, sweet, loving women - a few who I am so grateful to call my clients [love y’all SOOO MUCH]!

I shared:
• The history & benefits of Gua Sha
• Manual lymphatic drainage benefits and techniques to incorporate at home
• Walked them through the entire sequence of how to use their stone at home.
• Included in their session with me, I followed up with an email of the Zoom recording & other helpful resources they can always come back and refer to.

It’s wild that I did this & I realized how much I actually loved being in community over Zoom; definitely want to do it in person in the future! I enjoyed every bit of it & it was so rewarding to hear them say how relaxed they felt afterward & when they went over areas of tension with the stone and were like “Ahhhh! That feels so so good!” Just the thought of the benefits they’ll receive from this practice, just fills my heart with joy; stoked for them!!! 😆
